Hi stampers,

Happy Fall! As usual, I have been so busy and have neglected my blog...this should really be a permanent "header" for my blog!! Elle started Kindergarten and I went back to teaching preschool 5 days a week! It has COMPLETELY changed our family's schedule! We are getting into the new routine of work and school, but WOW; what a big change in our life!!! Elle LOVES school and I have the cutest preschool classes and life is good...just VERY busy! So...here's a quick picture of Elle on her 1st day of Kindergarten and then BACK TO STAMPING!!!

I wanted to share with you some of the projects that we made at my Fall / Halloween stamp camp on Monday. We had a nice time stamping and I am looking forward to our next stamp camp in November! If you want to stamp with us, contact me! I'd love to stamp with ya'!

Here is an overview of the projects that my stampers made~cute stuff huh!! ;o) I will focus on one project a day for the next 4 days~ hopefully I can stick to that commitment! ;o)

One of my favorite cards was the Fall card. I totally CASED this card layout from Ilina Crouse. I absolutely loved her card. I changed a few things to put my spin on it. Pretty huh!?! I am really loving the "Hand-Penned Holidays" and the "Gently Falling" stamp sets from the mini~ they are gorgeous!

6 years old!

Welp, it happened! My baby is now SIX years old!!! I'm not sure WHEN it happened...the past 6 years have FLOWN BY!

Here is the birthday girl at the American Girl store! She was in hog Heaven!!! We had so much fun! Don't worry...I am not forgetting that this is a Stamping blog...I just had to share a picture of my little lady too!!! ;o)

So, after thinking and thinking (and thinking!) about what in the world I could make out of the fun paint splattered paper that Elle had so much fun making...here is a picture of the invitations I came up with for her "Art Party!" I think they turned out creative and cute~ I wish I would have done more with the outside of the box, but everything I tried I just wasn't "feeling" so I decided to keep it simple!

A simple box that once they are opened have all of the party details and a surprise for the recipient too!

The only "bad" thing about the invitation is that they had to be hand delivered. But this turned out to be a lot of fun...Elle loved handing them to her friends! She was so excited and was proud to tell them that she painted them~ too cute!

Summer Crafts

Hi stampers!
I have had a fantastic day crafting with my almost 6 year old! We are in the midst of planning her 6th bday party and I am so excited!!! (those of you who know me well, know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE to plan a party!!) She has wanted a "fairy garden party" for almost a year now, ever since she went to a FABULOUS Fairy Garden Party at her friends house. (Hi Jennifer & Noelle!) And while I thought it was a great idea, I was nervous because A)I couldn't come close to throwing a great party like Noelle's and B) I didn't know how to incorporate boys into a fairy party, and we want to invite a few friends that have sons!!! So...I have been throwing other ideas at her for a few months, and to my (pleasant) surprise...she FINALLY loved one of my ideas...An Art Party!!! YIPPIE!!! Elle LOVES arts & crafts so I thought it would be a great idea and then we can incorporate EVERYONE!! ;o) Although, she did make me promise her that one of the crafts would be "fairy wings or something fairyish!" She is now calling it her "Fairy Garden Art Party!" haha!! I guess you can say we are learning to compromise! ;o)

So...Elle wanted to help me make her invitations!! MY DREAM COME TRUE...card making with my daughter!!!! It was another ridiculously hot day, and then we had a huge storm (thank goodness!!) so today was the day to stay in and make some invitations! We are not finished, but I wanted to share the "Sneak Peak" Elle had SO much fun splatter painting and she did it ALL by herself! 100%! She is so proud of herself. They turned out great. Now...I am turning these beautiful paintings into her invitations...not sure how or what...but I will be sure to post it when I do!

I love the look of concentration she has! She really enjoyed splattering the paint!

Tada! She made 20 of these! She was very busy today!

Summer Fun List!

Hi stampers!

Today isn't really about stamping...although it COULD be!! Afterall, what is more Fun than stamping?!?! hehe! Before Summer started, my lovely family of 3 sat down and made our "Summer Fun List 2011!" But, since I am such a bad blogger, I never posted it!! Today, one of my favorite bloggers, PWCMoms, (Prince William Co is where I live and she always has tons of fun events that are going on in town to do with your family!!) posted her Summer list and it reminded me to post mine....opps!!! We have only crossed off 2 things on our list so far...(the beach and Clemyjontri Park, which FYI, it the BEST PLAYGROUND EVER!!!!)It looks like we need to get busy!! Don't get me wrong; we have been VERY busy with fun things this summer, the pool, outdoor movies, playdates, etc...but we need to start checking some of those "big ticket items" off the list!! We are going to a baseball game this weekend...so get the pen out...;o) My daughter is thrilled about our list hanging on the fridge and is always suggesting MORE things to put on it!! haha! I finally had to tell her that we have to check all these off before we add more to our list! My favorite part of this list is the picture of our family that Elle drew! She even put Marley (our dog) and her fish in it!! How cute!

Hi stampers! I hope you are having a great day! I had a Stampin' Cafe Stamp Camp last night and we had so much fun! You should REALLY think about joining us next time, it is too much fun to miss! (not to mention, there is ALWAYS chocolate!!!!)

Last night we made these fun little goodies.

They were a big hit with my stampers! Yes, they are adorable...but they are also WICKED easy to make! We put Kit Kat bars in them, but they can also hold money, gift cards, Reece's cups...the possibilities are endless! I love these colors too! Hi stampers! I am back from a fantastic family vacation to SC and FL! We had a great time and we were actually able to relax!! I know, crazy huh!?!? ;0) And now I am busy making my Summer "to do list" ... and the top of that list is to get my stampin' up! room organized and ready to stamp with all of the great new stamps and accessories from the new 2011-2012 idea and catalog!! I cannot wait! I had such a great time at my last 2 stamp camps (the flower frenzy camps!) and I can't wait to stamp with my crew again! I am throwing around a ton of ideas in my mind for the new "SU! year" for classes and parties! I am excited to share them with you over the next few weeks! Fan Fold Flower!

WOW!!!! I KNOW, I KNOW....I hope you are sitting down....because I am posting TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!! Look out!

I wanted to post one of the cards that we made last night at my Flower Frenzy Stamp Camp! It is using the Fan Fold technique. I know that my picture quality is poor, it was taken with my phone, this card really pops IRL! I love the colors together (Melon Mambo and pumpkin pie!} The ladies kept telling me how much they loved the projects last night, which made me super happy!!!! I absolutely LOVED learning all the flower techniques for this camp, so I am excited (and relieved!!!} that they liked it too!!! I am doing a second Flower Frenzy Stamp Camp on May 23rd, and I still have 2 spaces available, so contact me for more info if you are interested! (We are making the same projects as last night!}

Flower Frenzy!!!

Hi Stampers!
I hope you are doing well! I have been going through a Flower Frenzy lately and I have 2 Flower Frenzy Stamp Camps in May to prove it!!!! I have been having so much fun learning new techniques on how to make fun flowers out of paper, ribbon and fabric!

I have my first Flower Frenzy Stamp Camp tonight, so I will share some of the projects later this week, but today I thought I would share a VERY simple picture frame that I embellished with the Candy Cane Fabric from Stampin Up! (Did you know that you can still order that!!!} And of course, I have to add What an adorable model in the frame....if I do say myself! hehe! These fabric flowers are SO easy to make and I love the look of them! What a cute and quick way to spice up a frame that only cost $1 huh!

HI Stampers!

Hope you are all enjoying Spring!!! It is FREEZING here, but if you stay inside, looking out the window, it is beautiful!! hehe!

I had a wonderful weekend and was able to join 28 other NOVA Stampin Up! demonstrators on Sat for a great afternoon! My friend Robin Merriman and Kimberly Van Diepen put together a Shoebox Swap for area demonstrators and it was fabulous! It was so nice to meet other demonstrators and to make time to stamp!!! Thanks ladies! So...I thought I would share the card I made for the swap! It is very simple, but I like it! The colors really pop and I am a sucker for butterfly's...especially since this weather is not getting me in the Spring spirit!!! Anyways, I hope you enjoy it! I was proud of myself for coming up with a card without CASEing anybody!! It has been a while since that has happened!!! haha!

Hello Again!

Well, I am back, after many many months!! I guess there is ONE thing to be glad for when you are sick.....I can FINALLY write on my blog!!! I have been VERY busy lately, we moved during the Holidays, we have had tons of family visiting, I have been sick on and off for 2 months....BUT, at the end of the day...things are going well!!!! Sorry for the lack of blogging! I am trying to get it all together!!

Stampin Up! is going great for me and I am REALLY enjoying stamping with all of my fabulous customers and friends!!!!! My stamp camps have been full for the past 3 months in a row, so be sure to RSVP quickly when the next one is announced! They are packed full of fun stamping and are a GREAT night out with fun ladies!!! Who doesn't love a Girls Craft Night!!!!

Here is a card that we made at the last Stamp Camp. It was a Valentines Day stamp camp and we made some great cards! Now, I know, I know...this is an EXTREMELY easy and simple card, but that is why I like it! It was a quick card to make, yet I really like its simplicity and I think my stampers did too!! I have a hard time with Masculine cards (don't we all!! ) and I think this card can be used for ANY occasion, for either Male or female. I LOVE this Love Letter Designer paper. Its beautiful and I love that it is so versatile!!! I apologize for the bad picture quality, my camera broke and this is taken with my camera hone!!!

WOW!!!!!

WOW, it has been WAY TOO LONG!!!! BAD BLOGGER!!!!! What can I say, life has caught up with me and I just haven't been able to play catch up!!!! Sorry! Everything is going great, we have just been so very busy~

So, rather than bore you all with what has been going on in my life lately, I will just say that I will promise to TRY to be a regular blogger (yet again...)

My Stampin' Up! business has been going FANTASTIC!!!!! I have met such wonderful stampers and made great friends in the past few months and they have kept my stamp camps full and fun!! I have REALLY enjoyed stamping with these ladies and getting to know each of them!! So, if you are one of my new stampers, THANK YOU for coming to stamp with me, and if you are a "veteran" stamper of mine and I haven't seen you in a while, I would LOVE to stamp with you again, come and join us!! We have had a great time!

This Monday will be my third and last Holiday Card Class of the month. It is FULL, but if you missed out on your chance to start and finish ALL your Holiday cards in one class...contact me and we can schedule your class! The stampers have really seemed to enjoy walking away with all of their beautiful cards and the sense of "WOW, I can't believe I'm done with my cards in NOVEMBER!!"

Hi stampers! I wanted to share with you a VERY adorable card that we made at my Stamp Camp last week, and we will be making at tomorrow's Stamp camp. Unfortunately, I have NO CLUE who I CASED this card from!!! I am always searching stamping blogs and when I found this card, I fell in love! PLEASE, if this is your card that I CASED, please let me know so I can give ALL the credit to YOU!!! I liked this card so much because it is so sweet and so simple, and I have never (I think!) done a card that is all one color cardstock. I love the look! (as with all of my pictures, click on the picture to see larger!)

My stamp camp last week went great! I had many new stampers and they were so excited to stamp and they did a FABULOUS job!! My stamp camp for tomorrow is full, but if you would like to be on my email list for the next camp, please contact me! We always have a blast!!!

I wanted to also share with you a few pictures of my (not so baby) baby girl! I cannot believe she is almost 5!!! We went to the Nationals Baseball game with my dad a couple of weeks ago and she had so much fun!!

She was super excited to get her hat just like her daddy!

She even got to run the bases with her daddy! I don't know who was more excited, Elle or Jason! :o)

And I absolutely LOVE this picture of Elle and my dad!! How cute are they!!

It was such a great day!

Hi stampers! I have FINALLY found some time to stamp...and not a moment to soon!!! Like many of you, stamping is my THERAPY, and I was in SERIOUS need of some therapy! So it was nice to get into my craft room and get some much needed stamping accomplished!!!! I feel much better now! ;o) I found this cute template for a little, itty bitty box from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts! It is so simple and is so cute to hold a little goodie! I think it would be perfect for a shower favor! And, since I am obsessed with making these little scallop punch flowers...I HAD to add one to this box! I used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on the flower when I was finished and LOVE the way it makes the flower pop!!! Cute huh?!?! This is one of the projects we will be making this at my next Stamp Camp!

SPEAKING OF STAMP CAMP .... I had to reschedule my previous stamp camp, so the NEW date for my Stampin' Cafe' Stamp Camp will be on Monday, July 5 from 7-9, and then I will also being having one the following week, on Monday, July 12 from 7-9! AND, since the NEW CATALOG & IDEA BOOK will be out (YIPPIE!!!!) on July 1st, I will be showing it off at the stamp camps and sharing many new products!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!! I hope you are having a great day~ I have a couple of things to share today! First is this card. I needed to make a quick sympathy card for a coworker, and I wanted to keep it simple yet pretty and I hope I achieved that! The flowers are embossed in winter white.
I also wanted to announce that I'm having a "Farewell Stamp Camp" in honor of the current SU! catalog going away at the end of June . It is on Mon, June 7th from 7-9 at a new location!!! Hi Stampers!
I have been holding on to this card FOREVER! I made it at my fabulous upline, Christina's, stamp camp SOOO long ago!!!! I can't even remember when it was....it's been that long! But I absolutely LOVED this card the instant I saw it, and I knew that I would be making this exact card over and over again! (Is it still considered CASEing if it is the EXACT replica?!?!) I love the colors, the design, EVERYTHING about it! It's one of those cards that just plain ole' makes me happy! So, I hope you enjoy it and it gives you a warm fuzzy today, on this yucky, rainy day!!! "Merci" for looking and "Merci" Christina for all the inspiration you give me!!!

Hi stampers!

I wanted to share with you the cute little boxes I made for all of the teachers at my daughter's school for Teacher Appreciation Week. I came downstairs last night with the intent of stamping little goodie boxes for the hard working, wonderful teachers.....and had NO STAMPING MOJO!!! So, I got on the computer to search through the many talented blogs out there...and wa~la....my stamping friend Robin had an ADORABLE stamped goodie that a friend gave her and I knew it would be what I CASED! Unfortunately, this is not SU! paper, but I had it laying around, and I thought it was perfect for teachers! These were so super easy to make! I filled them with chocolates and then for Elle's 2 teachers, I added a gift card! Just a little something to say thanks for all that they do!!

Color Renovations!!!!

Hi Stampers!!! I hope you are enjoying a sunny Monday morning!! Today is the first day IN AGES that I am not subbing or teaching and the FIRST thing I wanted to do was blog (I should be cleaning my house....but I have neglected you long enough!!!) ;o) ((Thanks for the great excuse to procrastinate ya'll!)) ;o)

First I wanted to say "Hello" to all of you that I met yesterday at the Kids Expo! What a fun filled day!!! I had a great time, and I loved meeting so many lovely families and stamping with your kiddos! Thanks for coming by!

Next, I wanted to let you know that Stampin' Up! has announced that they are doing some Color Renovations to our beautiful colors!! And I have to say that even though I am a little sad to see some of my favorite colors retire.....I am SO SUPER EXCITED to get my hands on the colors that will be replacing them! I have actually been waiting for this for a while!! Stampin' Up! does such a fabulous job with staying on top of what is current and exciting out there in the market and although we already have great colors, we have had them for a while now and it's time for a change! The color families have been updated, there will be 5 NEW colors, and some of the most popular IN COLORS will be returning! And, therefore, some of our favorite "oldies" will be retiring!

This is what the color collections will look like when the new Catalog is released on July 1st!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!Click here to see these amazing colors up close!

And here are the colors that we must say good bye to! Don't feel sad, we have made many wonderful projects with them, they have done their job! Kids Expo!!!

Hi stampers! It is that time of year again!!! It is time for the Prince William County Kids Expo!! It is this Sunday, April 18th, from 10 am - 4pm at the Prince William County Fairgrounds. There will be tons of kids & family activities, vendors, games, prizes, food, & entertainment! And, for all of you who have young children, you will be as excited as my daughter is....Rocknoceros will be performing at 1:30!!! Admission is FREE, parking is $5 and it will surely be great, fabulous, family fun!! I will have a Stampin' Up! booth again this year, and I hope to see you there! (Let me know you saw my blog and I will have a special goodie for you!!)

As the weather is getting nicer each day, my daughter seems to think that a nice day = an ice cream Sundae!!! She has said (for the 3rd day in a row!) "Mom, it's beautiful outside! I think I need to enjoy the weather out on the deck, eating an Ice Cream Sundae!" Well, as I'm looking through my cards, getting ready for the Expo, I found the card below that I made last Summer! And while I know I have already posted this card...I couldn't help but post it again! Elle has made me have ice cream on my mind! ;o) I hope it puts a smile on your face like it does mine!

Good Morning Stampers! I don't have a stamping project to share today, but I just HAD to share my weekend with ya'! My daughter is LOVING Tea parties lately! She is always setting them up in her room or on the deck with her baby dolls! She even wants to have a tea party themed birthday party (it's not until Aug....but if you have passed her on the streets or on the playground lately...you have been invited!!!!) ;o) So, I thought it would be cute to take her to a "Real Life Tea Party" and we had a BLAST! It was such a great day! The tea party started off at the children's bookstore behind the Tea Room where we listened to the story "The Ladybug Girl and Bumble Bee Boy" (ADORABLE BOOK!) and then they made ladybug wings and ladybug headband! Then all the little girls walked over (in their wings!) to the tea room and had a Ladybug Tea! Elle & her friend, Katelyn, had so much fun, sipping lemonade from "real" tea cups, stirring sugar cubes, eating scones and peanut butter & jelly finger sandwiches and trying on huge "tea party hats"....... this was a day to remember!!!! When she went to sleep last night she told me thank you for such a great day, and then asked if we could go to another tea party tomorrow! What a great way to start our Spring Break!!! A day I will always cherish!(how cute are these ladybugs!!!)

(I think this hat makes me look like the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz!!) Yikes!

Hi Stampers! Hope this post is finding you enjoying warm weather! I think Mother Nature finally got my email and is sending us warmer weather these days! ;o) Now....if I could just figure out who I need to email to get some more hours added on to each day....I will be one happy camper! Lately I have been remembering what it feels like being in school and anxiously awaiting Spring Break! Now that I am a preschool teacher, I am REALLY looking forward to the week long break!

This is a small post today, just wanted to say hello to all of you and show you a Spring card I just did. My daughter LOVES pinwheels these days, and so I was thinking "Hmm...what kind of card can I make for Spring" and pinwheels popped into my head! I am not totally sold on this card ....yet! I think it needs a little something added to it...so I will call it a "work in progress" but for now, it's kinda cute & simple! It is using the AWESOME Sweat Pea Designer Series Paper. I love this huge paper pack!! I also put the tempting turquoise cs through the Big Shot to add the big circles texture! I'll let you know if I add something else to the card!

Hi stampers! I wanted to get a blog post out before I go scrapbooking ALL weekend!!! YIPPIE! I am so excited! A whole weekend to play!! Just what I need after being cooped up in the house for basically 2 weeks from all the crazy snow we got!

I just got a big order in the mail from Stampin' Up! Since I had taken a "break" from stamping, it has been a while since I've placed an order....I almost forgot how exciting it is to get that brown box delivered!! I have been playing with the new Clear mounted stamps and I cannot say enough good things about them!!! As I mentioned in the past post I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!!!!!! What a difference they make!

I am a part of a fantastic swap group with my up line and many extremely talented SU! Demonstrators and this time we had to use sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I chose to use Tote-ally Tess and I have fallen in love with her! I made an Easel Card and was surprised at how easy it was to make! At first I made this card with a cute little paper flower, made from the scallop punch. I really like how it turned out, but I thought it would be really tough to mail this card (and really expensive!) so....this card will be one that gets hand delivered to someone special and I changed the next one around just a tad.

I decided to make it something that we, as demonstrators, could use as part of our business....a business card holder. HOWEVER, you can easily place a gift card in place of a business card and wa-la...it's a bday card!! The DSP paper I used in this picture is a retired pattern, however, in the swap cards I used the chocolate chip & white polka dots DSP that is in the Sweet Pea package! LOVE IT!

BAD BLOGGER!!!!!

Hello stampers! I have been such a bad blogger and stamper lately!!! And as I reread my previous posts......I say "I'm back" A LOT!!!!!! Sorry about that! ;o) So, where have I been??? BUSY BUSY BUSY!! I have had a lot going on in my life lately and unfortunately, stamping and blogging has had to take a back seat the past few months!!! (How sad is that!!!) As some of you know, I am a SAHM to my busy 4 year old as well as a Stampin' Up! Demo, but lately I have added to my already busy list of "jobs!" A few months ago I joined Gymboree Play & Music as a teacher on the weekends! What a great job! I am having the best time with it, but it has also taken a lot of my weekend time up, so when I am home on the weekends I have been spending it with my family. I have ALSO become a preschool teacher at my daughter's school! Yes, I am now a teacher to 6 of the cutest 2 1/2 year olds!! And while I am having a blast, it has definitely taken a lot of time to learn how to be a teacher and to plan and prepare for the day to day activities of a 2 1/2 year old!! THEREFORE....MY LIFE HAS GOTTEN EVEN MORE CRAZY AND BUSY THAN IT WAS PRIOR TO THE 2 NEW JOBS!!! Well, I think that things are becoming as "routine" as it's going to get now and I have vowed that I am going to get back into stamping (my favorite hobby and my personal therapy!) and then...blogging about it!

I live in Northern VA and if you have been watching the news at all since last Friday, you have seen that we have gotten hammered with snow!!!! As of this post (and it's still snowing out right now!!) we have gotten 37 inches of snow since Friday!!!!!!! WOW!!!! And while I am beginning to feel the effects of Cabin Fever (I say as my daughter is running circles upstairs in our kitchen and my husband is timing her!!) I have REALLY ENJOYED being snowed in with my hubby and daughter!! As I said above, it has been so crazy around here and we haven't gotten a lot of family time lately and I have loved it!!! We have had so much fun playing in the snow, snuggling on the couch with popcorn watching endless movies and just being together! I know I know, I'm not usually mushy, but I have really enjoyed it! So....on top of all the family bonding...I have also had time to STAMP!!!!!!!! YIPPIE!!!!!!

I have FINALLY finished my "Christmas turned into Valentine's Day" Cards (insert embarrassed face HERE!) and they are in the mail as we speak. {Now, I have nothing to do with how long it takes for the mailman to get to the mailbox through all this snow...but I did my part, they are in there! ;o) } Yup, I have been so busy that I didn't even get my Christmas Cards out! Isn't that AWFUL! I had them all cut and ready to assemble, I had the pictures not only taken but developed.....and just ran out of time to put them together and in the mailbox! Thank gosh they were made with red cardstock...they made perfect Valentines'! ;o) I will post them on Sunday, because my friends and family haven't recieved them yet~

My daughter and I also made her school Valentine's Day cards! We had fun making them and she was sooo proud of them! Now the only issue is that school has been canceled for the rest of the week...I really hope they reschedule her party, she will be crushed! What do you think?? Happy Halloween...Take THREE!!!

Hello stampers!!! I hope you are having a great day! It has been a very busy week, playing catch up from being sick for a week, trying to get everything ready for Halloween, and working on stamping goodies!!! They say that "the THIRD time is a charm".... and for this project, "they" are right!!!! This is my THIRD candy goodie for my daughter's class Halloween party!!! I made two goodies for them using the Sweet Centers and Sweet Treats Cups, and I loved how they looked! HOWEVER, it just dawned on me (2 days ago!!) that I can't give candy that isn't packaged commercially!!! After all, isn't that what we teach our kids...not to eat candy that is open and from strangers!!!! So.....I went back to the drawing board, and without a lot of time!!!!! I pulled out some retired designer Halloween paper and retired Tangerine Tango cardstock, folded it "tent style" and then used the retired Yummy stamp set and made a candy tent! I stapled the candy inside and had my daughter sign each "card" and wa-lah!!!! SUPER easy and SUPER quick!!! After all, it was my THIRD attempt!!! That's what I get for getting things done early! I should know better! ;o) Anyways, I'm happy with how they turned out and Elle had a great time helping make them! Now....what do I do with ALL of those adorable Sweet Treat Cup Cards!?!?!? ;o)

by the way...How cute is her little handwriting!?! ;o)

I was also busy making Ghost Cake pops for her party! These cake pops have become my daughter's favorite dessert, and she can help me make them so that is always a plus~ this time we made the cake pops into ghosts! I think they turned out cute and, more importantly, they were yummy!!! ;o) A BIG hit with the kids and an even BIGGER hit with the teachers!

Speaking of teachers, as I have posted before, I made the Frankenstein and Mrs. Frankenstein boxes for all the teachers in her school (I told you I've been busy!!!!) Elle was SUPER excited to hand these out to each of them~ so cute! They loved them!

As you can tell, my family LOVES Halloween!!! We tend to go a little over board with it, but it is all worth the last few sleepless nights! I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend, no matter how you spend it!!! I'll be back on Monday with some Fall / Thanksgiving goodies!!!

Happy Fall??

Hi stampers! I hope you are having a great day! We are a little under the weather at our household....like everyone else in our area (or so it seems!!!) my daughter has the Swine Flu and I haven't been able to get rid of this horrible cough for 3 weeks!!! So we have been hanging out in the house for the past few days, trying to get healthy!!! I think we are on our way to being on the mend....but it has been a LONG week!!!! So, I have been planning my upcoming Stampin' Up! party at Laura's house (hi Laura!) She wanted to do some Fall/Thanksgiving cards, so I got out my Fall colors and went to work! I have been in "Halloween mode" lately so it was nice to work with these pretty colors! I just LOVE the gorgeous Fall colors while driving around Northern VA this time of year....I wait all year for it! So...that was my goal, since I am stuck inside, I wanted to bring those colors to the card! I used Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie in this card. I started out with the Old Olive in the center of the medallion, but then (accidentally) I Made another one and forgot to add the center!!!! BUT, I kind of liked that card too...so...now I cannot decide which one I like best; with the green center or without?!?!?! PLEASE, LET ME KNOW WHICH ONE YOU LIKE THE BEST!!!! JUST LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS POST WITH YOUR VOTE! I love the Medallion stamp, I think it is SO versatile! I used a retired stamp set "Tiny Talk" for the "give thanks" verse...I cannot believe this is the ONLY stamp I have for thanksgiving!!! Time to go shopping!!! ;o) I also used the Color Spritzer Tool with the Chocolate Chip Marker...I love how easy this tool is and how it adds just enough to give it the finishing touch to the card!

I also wanted to just share this sweet moment....it just amazes me how dogs seem to know when you aren't feeling good....our dog Marley hasn't left my daughter's side since she has gotten sick...I thought this was so sweet with her arm around him!! This is them snuggling on the couch! Too cute!

Hi stampers! Well, I have been super busy lately working and stamping, and this weekend I didn't do either!!!! I had a wonderful, family filled weekend of Fall fun and relaxing! It was FABULOUS! My hubby, daughter and I went Apple picking on Sunday and had so much fun! This is one of our favorite things to do in the Fall...Elle LOVES it and talks about it all year long! Hi again! I know, I know, two posts in one day!!! But I am so excited that I just HAD to share these little guys RIGHT AWAY!!!! A little while back, I posted this adorable card that was all the rage last year! I adore him and just couldn't put him away...I've been trying to figure out a way to make him "cool again" this year....and then I came across THIS blog and TA-DA! Gretchen must have read my mind!!! She made a ton of different characters, how creative is she!!!!! So, I got out lil' Frankie from last year and made him into a bag / box and then...I of course had to make him a lil' friend....so I made a lil' mummy!!! WAY TOO FLIPPIN' CUTE!!!!! I will be making a bunch more of these, I have decided that all the teachers at my daughter's school will be getting these filled with little Halloween treats! (She goes to a very small school!!) ;o)

hi there Stampers!

I posted a few posts ago the cute yet very simple Sweet Centers card I made for my daughter's Halloween Party. Well, after looking at fellow bloggers projects, I decided to make it easier for the little kiddo's to get into the yummy candy! I originally made an "X" on the back of the card, with a utility knife, so they could peel back the "X" and get out the M&M's, without ruining the card. Then I came across this blog (Love her and this great tutorial!!!) and learned a new, fun and EASIER way to enjoy the candy....and not ruin the card! I also like this technique because you can easily refill the candy and use it again!!!! ;o) All you do is slide out the little black tab and the candy comes out of the back!! Ta-Da!!!! I LOVE THESE SWEET CENTERS!!!!!!!!!!! I think that these little cards will be a big hit with the kids AND their grown ups!!!

I was looking through my huge basket of card samples last night when I came upon this card and it made me smile!! These cards were very popular last year, but it made me happy when I saw it so I figured I would bring it back in hopes of it making YOU smile!! How cute is this card?!?!
I have finally decided on the cards we will be making at the Christmas Card Extravaganza Class and am placing my order TODAY so that I can't change my mind (again!)!

A serious case of "CASEing"

Hello Stampers!!
Many times at my Stampin' Up! Workshops and Stamp Camps, I, like most demonstrators, get asked "how do you come up with these ideas for cards and projects?" and I can honestly say, that most of the time.....I DON'T!!!!!! Not completely at least! That is what is so great about being a stamper.... you don't have to be some creative genius (although many of you are!) you just have to be able to CASE (Copy And Share Everything!) I am a "pro" at CASEing! I am always checking out blogs, participating in swaps, and drooling over other stampers creations! Most of the time, I take those ideas and use them to spark something creative within my own mind and make the creation my own...however, sometimes I see something that I fall in love with and copy it exactly! (giving them ALL the credit of course!!!!) This week, as I am continuing to plan for my Christmas Card Extravaganza Class, I have found SEVERAL cards that I have fallen in love with and haven't wanted to change a thing!!!! You all out there in blog land are so creative!!! Below are some of the cards that I have either completely CASEd, or have tweaked just a little bit to make it my own. We will (probably) be making these at the class. Just when I think that I have come up with all the projects , I find another card that I love and just HAVE to make! ;o) I think I need to stop the madness and stop browsing the web!!! (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!) So, THANK YOU FELLOW STAMPERS, for all of your creativity!!! Hopefully, one day, I will make something that will inspire you! ;o)

This is a FABULOUS card from Renae Wilson. I don't know her, but I LOVE her work and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this card!!! This card reminded me of this birdie card I made, I think it's the same type of fold. So anyways, I CASEd it exactly, and then I made some changes so that it would be more cost effective for my class! Here is the EXACT thing,

and here it is the very minor change that I made. I just used Old Olive Cardstock in the background so that I could make the beautiful Merry Moments designer paper last further.
My customers that attend the class can choose whether they would like to make "regular" cards or picture front cards. I decided to make a couple of changes to this card so that it could be used as a picture card as well! I think this style of card looks GREAT with a wallet size photo!!!

Then I cam across this card and FELL IN LOVE!!! I had already ordered the Christmas Cocoa Specialty designer paper from the Mini Catty but couldn't bring myself to actually USE the gorgeous red and white flocked paper!!! It's too pretty to use I thought! Then I saw this card from Linda Walsh and had to make it!!! I basically copied it exactly except for I didn't use the ticket punch corner, used a different greeting, off-centered it and I added a bow to the red ribbon!

WOW...I know.....2 posts in less than a week!!!!!! I told you things were going to get back to "normal" around here!!!! ;o) I thought that since I have been such a bad blogger lately, I would share TWO projects that I have been working on!!

When I got the Holiday Mini catalog, the first thing I HAD TO HAVE was the Sweet Centers stamp set and the Sweet Treat Cups!!!! HOW ADORABLE ARE THESE!?!?! I was instantly imagining bringing these little goodies to my daughter's preschool for parties!!! It's only Sept 11th and I have already made her class treats for Halloween!!! They are sooooooo easy and sooooooo stinkin' cute!!! I'm sure you have seen them all over the web already but here are the ones I made! I decided to not make them into "lollipops" this time...I will wait and do that for Valentine's Day! (yes, I've already planned them out in my head!!) I chose to make them into little cards. While I was doing my weekly browsing and idea searching of the very creative stampers out in blog land, I saw this very creative and fabulous idea for a gift card holder!! I loved it!! I got out my handy dandy Big Shot and made one right away!!!! Unfortunately, I was so excited that I completely forgot to write down the blog I found it on....I have searched through my "History" and still cannot find it, however I will continue to look and will update it when I find it! I only penciled down the sketch....but if this is your sketch, please; let me know!!! Mine is much more "plain and simple" than hers, but I was just so excited that I wanted to get it completed quickly!!! But I am happy with how it turned out and I will be playing around with it and adding more embellishments when I have more time!!! I used retired SU! designer paper and cardstock. ****UPDATED on Wed, Spet 16***I found the wonderful sample that I CASEd! Check it out here!!!

Hi stampers!!! Yes, I know...I've been MIA in the blogger world!!! I have been relaxing in the sun and having my toes in the sand!!! We just got back from a fabulous family vacation in the Isle of Palms, Charleston, SC and had a wonderful time!!! And we couldn't have come back at a more perfect time...the weather the past two days in NOVA have been amazing Fall-like days and I LOVE IT!!!! The Fall is DEFINITELY my favorite time of the year!!!! Elle goes back to preschool next and then after that....I am hoping things get back to normal around her...or as "normal" as they can be!!!

Hello Stampers!!! I am having such a hard time realizing that 1.) the summer is almost over 2.) my baby girl just turned FOUR!!!!!!!! Finally....

Hello stampers! Finally...I am making good on my promise to share Elle's birthday invitations! Sorry it took me so long.....we had everything packed and ready to go to my friends wedding last weekend...and then I woke up at 1 am on the morning we were to drive 6 hours with the flu!!!! Yup, I was up every hour getting sick and had to miss the wedding we had been looking forward to for a year!!!!! I am still soooooo bummed about it!!!!! But, I am feeling much better now, have used Lysol on the entire house and am now stamping up a storm!!!

Elle has decided that she wants to have her party at the local water park...so we are praying for NO RAIN!!!!!!! It should be a lot of fun because this is the first year she has a say in who she wants to invite....since she is in preschool now and actually has her "own" friends! ;o)

After trying really hard to come up with a "splish splash" themed invitation....I decided I was not a fan of any of my ideas and so I went with a much more simplistic "theme" and used my beloved "Simple Birthday Thanks" cupcake set! (Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this stamp!?!?!) I just wasn't "feeling" any of my water ideas! When you open the invitation up, there is a pocket where the guests will find more info about the party and the location. I did a similar style invitation for a friends wedding last year and I love the idea! Hope you enjoy it! I think it is a fun invitation...and Elle loves it! She thinks I'm "AMAZING" (her words...not mine!) so I guess that is what matters! Although I would love to hear your ideas and comments!!!

Bad Blogger!

Hello stampers! Well, I am a bad blogger!! I know I said I would have samples for my daughter's birthday invitations...BUT.... I have been busy packing and getting everything ready to go to Charlotte, NC this weekend that I haven't been able to get it all done!!! I am so sorry! I didn't realize how much goes into packing for Elle to stay at the in-laws for 2 days while packing for us to attend a wedding!!! This will be the first time we have left her for the whole weekend! I PROMISE I will get them done AS SOON as we come home!!!!!! I have some ideas in my head for the invitations...and IF I can just get them down on cardstock....I think they will be cute!!

SO... I thought I would share with you another one of my loves.....CUPCAKES! I have ALWAYS loved eating them!!...but lately, I have also enjoyed making them! I have been searching for yummy new recipes and I think I have a (new) favorite!!! COTTON CANDY CUPCAKES!!! YUMMO!!!!!! I made them for a friends bbq and father's day and they were a HUGE hit!! So, here is a picture of the deliciousness. They were pretty hard to photograph...but that is probably a good thing...wouldn't want you to drool all over your keyboard! ;o)

Strawberry picking, Sun burns and Stamp Camps!!!!!

Hello Stampers! I hope you are enjoying your Summer so far! I am at home nursing my sun burned self after spending the past 2 (FABULOUS) days at the water park! (YES....I wore sunscreen!!...apparently, I should have re-applied!!) ;o) I am going to a wedding this weekend and I am just hoping that the red becomes a golden tan ;o) AND NOT PEELING!!!!! Wish me luck!

We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend! We went Strawberry picking, had a delicious picnic at the State Park (gorgeous!) and enjoyed some laid - back, relaxing family fun!!!! It was such a great weekend! Elle REALLY loved Strawberry picking. She was so excited!

Scrapbook Weekend~

Hello stampers! I wanted to share with you a few pages that I completed on my WONDERFUL Scrapbook weekend! My friend and I went scrapbooking ALL weekend last weekend at the Dulles Expo Center. It was a no frills crop put on by Get Croppin' and we had a blast! I FINALLY finished Elle's first year album (she's almost FOUR!) I have noticed that I have become a much more "simple" scrapbooker as the time has rolled on...but I think I will get back to be detailed once I'm caught up! (IF that ever happens!!) ;0)The pages above are more recent pictures (last year!) when we went apple picking! For some reason, this was an EXTREMELY hard page for me to do....they are some of my favorite pictures and I think I psyched myself out and didn't want the pictures to "get lost" so I went really simple. This was the first time she ate a "whole Apple" and she couldn't believe she didn't need to cut it! She kept asking "I can eat the WHOLE apple?" (hence the title!!) Oh well, the page brings back tons of great memories for me and that IS, afterall, the whole point in scrapbooking...right?!

The following layouts are one of my favorites! I had begun this layout at the LAST Scrapbook Weekend I attended and then I finished it this time! This is more my style, but I don't have that kind of time any more.....I have GOT to catch up!! ;o) I like the look of a lot of pictures, so many times I will print them as wallets to fit more pictures onto a layout! Having one picture on a page is really a popular look right now, and I love how it looks...I just take sooooo many pictures that it isn't practical for me! This was her first December layout. I really enjoyed making this one AND looking at it! Feel free to click on the pictures to make them bigger so you can see them in more detail.

Hello stampers! I am so sorry I have been MIA! Life has been VERY busy this past week and I am finally (I think!) catching up! My parents were in town and we had a wonderful visit! It was so great seeing them and watching them with my daughter! They don't get to see her very often since they live in FL, so it was great seeing them "bond." It is also the last week of my baby's first year of preschool and WOW does that come with a lot of activities!!! ;o) We have had talent shows, conferences, carnivals and parties to attend!! (and 1 more week left of activities!!) Who knew preschool ending was soooooooooooo time consuming! BUT, we have had a fabulous time with it all! Elle made it through today being the last official day of school, but I don't think she REALLY understands that school is done! During ALL of this fun I have been making a little 9x9 scrapbook for Elle's 2 teachers! I spent ALL weekend (thanks hubby!) putting them together. I did 2 very simple scrapbooks, not too many accessories and"do dads" on it, but the teachers cried when Elle gave them to them this morning, so I think they liked how they turned out! ;o) Her teachers were the BEST and we are really going to miss them!!! Here are a couple pictures of the albums...I didn't take great pictures of them because they are pictures of her classmates, so I didn't want to show closeup picts! But, you get the idea of the album!

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello stampers and Happy (early) Mother's Day to all the mommies! I hope you are spoiled rotten tomorrow and have a wonderful day with your families! This is the Mother's Day card I made for my mom and Mother in law. I used the water coloring technique that Patty Bennett showed on her blog The difference is that I (unfortunately) didn't have the shimmery white c/s nor any watercolor paper (looks like I need to place an order ASAP!!!) so I used whisper white c/s, heat embossed using the white craft ink and clear EP, then used Pacific Point and BajaBreeze ink and the Aqua Painters. I brushed the whole rose with Baja Breeze and then went back and highlighted with the pacific Point. I think the difference is that you need to work MUCH faster when you are using whisper white cs because it doesn't blend as well. But, I'm happy with how it turned out and I really enjoyed waterpainting the flowers. I am going to keep practicing to get much better! What do you think about water painting technique??
I also wanted to share with you my first Mother's Day Tea with Elle at her preschool.

This is Elle's portrait of ME! ;0) Too sweet!
I especially love my feet! (I thought they were bugs!) It was SOOOOO adorable and Elle was soooooooo excited!!!! She had been making "surprises" at preschool each day and would come home and say "I can't tell you what we did at school!" ;o) She picked out her "Tea Party Dress" a week early and it was ALL she talked about! We had a FABULOUS time! They made us flowers, frosted and decorated cookies, sang us a We Love Mommy song, drew a picture of mommy on a place mat, and then we had tea, lemonade and yummy food! It was such a special day!!!! I love being a Mommy every day....but this made the Thursday even more special!!! It's finally sunny!!! & Scrapbooking Date!

Hello stampers! I hope you are having a wonderful Friday!! It is FINALLY a sunny, beautiful Spring day here in NOVA and it instantly puts me in a good mood. I have been searching through all the wonderful stampers out here in blog land and found the perfect card to CASE for my "Spring Mood" I found this adorable card on chic n' scratch! She is soooo talented and I love her simplicity with a lot of her beautiful cards! I changed a few things around, but the adorable ice cream cone is the same and I love it! I used the tecturz background again (LOVE THEM!) on Very Vanilla C/S, and the scallop circle punch for the ice cream scoops! After looking at the card further, I think I may tecturized the cone on the next one I make as well! I think it's a really cute and simple card...now I just have to come up with an excuse to mail it to someone special! ;o)

Hello Stampers! Today is a chilly Tuesday in VA but at least it isn't raining!!! I know, I know...we need the rain! But it doesn't mean that I have to enjoy it when it rains 4 days in a row!! I get a little cabin fever not to mention my daughter doesn't like to be cooped up in the house!!! She does, however, LOVE her princess umbrella that the Easter Bunny brought her...and will take ANY opportunity to use it! I sat inside the house and let her jump away in any puddle she could find. As you can see, we are now into the "dressing yourself" stage of a 3 year old! ;op (I REALLY need to take classes on how to use my camera properly! I wish these weren't so blurry) Sorry there are so many, she just had so much fun and I thought they were too cute not to share! (click on the picture to see it better!)

I also was "hired" to make my college roommates baby "thank you" cards. She isn't finding out the sex of the baby and her nursery is decorated in orange and green...so, here is what I came up with! I finally got the chance to use my new texturz plates for the Big Shot and I LOVE THEM!!!!! The background is so great irl!!! I'm not 100% sold on the little prima flower, but the card needed something in the corner to offset it. I hope she likes them. Let me know what you think!

Hello Stampers! Sorry I have been MIA lately! My parents drove up from Florida for a visit and I have been on the go since they have arrived! We had a wonderful visit with them, full of family bonding time, outings, movie and popcorn nights, trips to the playgrounds and my mom and I actually got some stamping done!!! My birthday bash Stamp Class on Sunday went great and we had a fun time stamping! I was so busy that I actually forgot to take pictures during it!!! I will upload the cards that we made tomorrow, but here is one project that we did using the Matchbox diecut in the mini catalog and the ultra fine glitter!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been going crazy with the glitter lately! I am addicted to both the chunky and the fine glitter! It is my newest favorite "technique" (is glitter considered a technique??)

Hello Stampers! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!! I had a busy but WONDERFUL one!! I was a vendor at the PWC Kids Expo and had a GREAT time there!! I met so many wonderful stampers and people on Saturday. (Hi if I met you!!) I have been stamping soooo much lately and LOVE IT!! I have made it part of my every day "duties" and am so glad that I have!!! I think that slowly but surely my "stamping mojo" is coming back to me!! Of course, this means that the laundry pile is getting bigger and bigger as the days roll on...but I am MUCH happier!!! And that's all that REALLY matters right!?!?! ;o) On Sunday I had a Girls Night Out with my fantastic group of girl friends and we went wine tasting and then made our own wine!!!!!!

I wanted to make sure you all know about the Kids Expo that is being held at the Prince William County Fair Grounds, Manassas, VA 20112 (It's an indoor facility...so come rain or shine!!) THIS SATURDAY, April 18th from 10 am - 5pm. I will have a SU! booth there and will be stamping pinwheels with the kids!! It will be a WONDERFUL family and kids event with vendors from P.W. Co that have family and kids oriented businesses. There will also be moon bounces, entertainment, games, prizes, giveaways and FUN FUN FUN!!!! Each vendor will have an activity for the kids OR a giveaway!!! AND IT'S FREE!!!!!!! Come out with your family and have a blast! Swaps and Kites...I love Spring!!!

Hi Stampers!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I had a family fun filled weekend. I didn't have to work at all this weekend (YIPPIE!!!) so I was able to spend some quality time with my hubby and daughter! LOVED IT! It was the annual Kite Festival in D.C on Saturday and my daughter's newest favorite past time is flying her barbie kite!!! So, we were all so excited....until we woke up to clouds and drizzle on Saturday morning! We decided to stick it out and head to the METRO all bundled up in rain coats and wellie boots!! And I am so happy that we did! The down pours held off and we had a wonderful time! Elle got to make her own kite, pin wheel and wind sock, watch the pro's do their tricks(did you know there where Kite Flying Pro's?? We didn't and they were so cool!!) and ...of course, fly her hand made kite! We had such a great afternoon! (click on the picture to see it closer)

Then, we woke up Sunday to a gorgeous, WINDY day...so we went out to the Bull Run battle field (right by our house) and had another fun filled afternoon of kite flying! This time she was able to fly her Barbie kite and was so happy! She was actually able to fly her kite ALL by herself and got it so high in the air she ran out of string! What a GREAT weekend!!

In stamping news...I have just mailed out my swap for the Spring Mini Occasions Catalog and cannot wait to check my mail each day to get the beautiful swaps from my swap buddies! While I am sad to see Sale-A-Bration end tomorrow, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Occasions Mini that will be available on April 1st!!!!

Hello Spring!!!!!!

Hi Stampers! I hope you are having a FABULOUS Monday and happy Spring!!! It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here! Here's wishing and hoping that the cold weather is finally over!!!!!

In honor of the beginning of Spring, I pulled out the Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot die cut and made this lovely card! It is not my typical card, I am usually a "cute and fun" type of stamper rather that a "pretty" card maker....but I was inspired by one of my fellow demonstrators, Chris M., and her card that I received during a swap! Her cards are ALWAYS gorgeous!!! This card was using the gorgeous Parisian Breeze Specialty Designer Paper (LOVE IT!), Baja Breeze and Kraft cardstock. I added some of the gorgeous half pearls from the pretties kit and the ticket punch to the corners.

The card is very simple yet very pretty, but for some reason, I don't think this picture does it justice. I think it is much prettier in person!! I think it's because you can't tell the different textures and such in the picture! Guess you'll just have to take my word! ;o)

I had a Stampin' Up! party on Sunday for my friend and customer Heather (Hi H~!) and made the butterfly card and the Top Note bag! She recently bought the Big Shot and I couldn't wait to show her so many fun, great things she can make with it!!!! I also made a little chocolate goodie for each of them to show how easy cute projects can be with the big shot.....I am a firm believer that you CANNOT stamp without chocolate!!!!! ;op I got the idea for the Scallop Envelope goddie from Julie's blog at Valentine's Day and loved it!!!

Here is the Top Note bag and the Scallop Envelope little goodie!!! (They both hold Ghirardelli Sqares chocalate!)

Preparing for St. Patrick's Day!

Hello Stampers!

I wanted to quickly share what my daughter will be bringing to her pre-school St. Patty's Day party tomorrow! They are little (the snack size) Kit-Kat bars! She is so excited! Elle came home from school on Thursday and was a little nervous because she "didn't have a green party dress and the Leprechauns where going to poke her!" Yes, that's right...."poke" her. I guess pinching is no longer acceptable at school! ;op She feels MUCH better now that she has a green outfit, green jello jigglers and green treats to bring to her class!

These were sooooo easy to make and I'm sure you have all seen some version of these before. I didn't reinvent the wheel here, I just adapted the designer paper to fit the mini kit-kat bars. The designer paper is the Hostess (level 1) 6 x6 Patterns Pack in Garden Green. I cut it 4 1/2 X 4, used SNAIL on all 4 sides, wrapped it around the kit kat and then put the ends through the Crimper. Since I unfortunately don't have any St. Patrick's stamps, I used the heart in the (retired) Bitty Basics set with Garden Green Ink. Then I punched it out with the 1 3/8 circle punch and then layered it onto the scallop circle punch. Wa-lah.....15 of these took me 15 minutes to make!! SOOOO quick and cute and such a happy little girl!

I have also been busy busy busy with a swap to pass out during the Fundraiser. (the beginning portion is a Demonstrator meeting) Those of you that attended my February stamp class made this card....This is one of my favorite cards that I have made in the past few months. It is simple, and the colors really pop! HOWEVER, no matter how simple it is....making 50 if them was extremely time intensive! There is A LOT of cutting to this SIMPLE card! The cherry is stamped and then cut of of Real Red, the icing part is stamped and then cut out of Whisper White and then the wrapper part is stamped and then cut out of Pacific Point! X 50!!!!!!!!!! I have seen this color combo of Kiwi Kiss and Pacific Point a lot lately in the retro style cards and I love it! And I am always searching for a masculine bday card...and I think this could be for either male or female, kids or adult! I also LOVE the chunky sprinkles!! Although... I have heard that many of you are having a difficult time with them because you can't find an adhesive that they stick to.....I have found the Tombo works the best (in my humble opinion!) I apply the Tombo glue, sprinkle on A LOT of chunky glitter and then push the sprinkles into the glue THEN shake (gently) off all the access! Pushing the sprinkles into the glue really seems to help! Hope this help you fall in love with your chunky glitter! ;op Leave me a comment and let me know what your "secrets" are for using glitter (chunky OR fine!)

Busy yet fun weekend!

Hi all! I am finally able to "catch up" from this weekend and here I am excited to post the details of my GREAT Stamp Class that was this past Sunday! I had a very fun but VERY busy weekend! It all began with a great Girls Night Out on Friday night (great time spent with great friends....always a fun way to start the weekend!) Then I had to work Saturday morning, and then my hubby and I headed to the Wizards Basketball game with our friends! Yes....that's right; two nights in a row I was out having fun without any kids around!!!!! UNHEARD OF!! ;op Then I had a WONDERFUL time at a stamp class I held on Sunday afternoon!!! I was busy all week preparing 300 cards!!! Each stamper made 30 cards and the class was full at 10 lovely ladies (hi girls!) We had a blast!! Here are a few pictures of the cards we made (10 different cards, 3 of each) and some pictures of the stampers hard at work! The cards are very simple and easily duplicated which was what I was going for since they made 30!! Normally, I prefer more "detailed" projects, but looking back at the things I have made recently...I must be very busy and going for more simple things! ;op

I got inspiration for some and CASED others from many of my fellow bloggers! Whenever I see something I like, I save it in a folder...so hopefully, I have given credit to the right people! I have "collected" samples for a long time!!

The heart punch card was CASED from Kristina Werner, the red flower card I CASED from Julie Davison, and the butterfly card was inspired by Patty Bennett. I found the 3 cupcakes card way back in August from this blog. I'm sure that the big cupcake card was CASED from SOMEONE, but I made it last year before I even thought of having a blog and have no clue where I found it!

We had a great time and I cannot wait until my next class! Please let me know if you are interested in joining my email list to get Class and Stamp Camp info!!! Here are some of the wonderful stampers that joined me!

Baby shower favors!

I have been stamping up a storm lately!!! I was asked to make 40 baby shower invitations and favor boxes for a customer of mine who is having her first grand baby. I had so much fun using my new Big Shot and the Scallop Envelope Die Cut to make these cute little chocolate boxes! Since I had to make 40 of them, I went very simple and didn't do much stamping on them, but I still think they are really cute. I hope she likes them! I made the invitations before I had this blog and I didn't take a picture of them....but maybe one day I will have time to recreate them and show ya'! I found the instructions on how to make these boxes a long time ago and have no idea where I found them....so I will give the measurements as well as pictures. Sorry about the picture quality...the Pink Pirouette and my flash were acting funny! I'll work on figuring it out! ;op

Start out with 2 Scallop Envelopes and adhere them together at the ends with sticky strip.

Cut a strip of matching cardstock to 1 1/2 X 7 3/4 and then score at 2 1/4 on each end. Adhere the strip to the bottom and sides using sticky strip and then decorate!

They are very easy and don't require as much cardstock (or goodies to fill them!) as the cute boxes that are made using 4 scallop envelopes! I put 3 Ghirardelli squares in them. (could fit more!) Yummo!

Anybody who knows me knows that I LOVE PINK!!! But with baby showers, valentines day and cupcakes.....I think I am going to branch out this week and work on some projects that do NOT involve Pink!! (I know....*GASP!*) Don't worry....I'm sure I won't last long!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are having a fabulous day with tons of chocolate! I wanted to share the little Valentine's goodies I made for my daughters preschool class and teachers in her school! I got this cute idea from this blog and had the try it! I thought that since the 3 year olds probably didn't care what the box looked like...just what type of candy is IN it...I didn't stamp all over the top note....however I did for the teachers! (click on pictures to enlarge them to see the details!) I went for the very simple look since I made 20 of them! Then I made the Cupcake Take Along boxes (that I showed a few days ago) for her 2 teachers. Elle was so excited to hand out her little valentine's to her friends!

Now is the "Mommy Thinks I'm Brilliant!" portion of my blog! ;o) Elle has begun to use scissors in school (my worst nightmare is that she cuts her own hair!!!!!) and she LOVES to practice cutting! Now, granted she is my first child, so I have nothing to compare it to...BUT...I think she is a very advanced "cutter" for her age, ;op (just kidding...kinda!) and I am already counting the days until she can scrapbook with me!!! We had a great time making her Valentine's Day Cards this year!

And then we made daddy a heart shaped cake and she LOVED decorating it! I was "not allowed" to help in the sprinkles department this year! Soooo independent! ;op I love that her tongue is sticking out while she is frosting the cake! **Please don't mind the mess in the background!!! My basement flooded so we are living out of our kitchen area these days!!! **

Happy Tuesday! I have been busy busy busy (because as always...I procrastinated until the last possible minute!!) making S-A-B and New Catalog swaps for a "Near and Far" swap group I am in! They were due in the mail today and I just made it!!!! I have to admit...this time it took me FOREVER to come up with my swaps!! I just wasn't feeling very creative and each card I came up with didn't WOW me!! I finally came up with my two swaps....they are cute but I still think they each are missing the WOW FACTOR! I LOVE Cupcakes!

So when I came across this "Cupcake Take Along" here I was in love! I had to make it right away! And while I am happy with the way mine turned out...I will be trying to perfect it for a Birthday Bash Stamp Camp I am going to hold in April. I think this will be a big hit! Since I HAD to make it this weekend, I was forced to use what I already had! *gasp* I think it would look better and stand out more if I had Riding Hood Red Ribbon for the handles instead of the pink...but, I am sure my daughter's preschool teachers will appreciate this little Valentine's gift "as is!" Hello!! I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator who LOVES to stamp and scrapbook and I am hoping that (maybe!) I can motivate and inspire a few of you out there WHILE I get inspired by my fellow stampers!! I am a pro at "CASEing" other peoples ideas and then spinning them into my own creations....but I am hoping that this will encourage me to try new techniques and come up with my very own creations! Bear with me while I try to figure this whole thing out...I will have some samples up soon.....BUT until then, I thought I would share a picture of my daughter from today. Her preschool celebrated her "Half Birthday" today since she is a "Summer B-day" and she was sooooooo excited! She woke up at 6:30 this morning and asked where her presents where! (Oops, I must not have gotten the memo that this celebration required gifts!) SO.... feeling guilty at how excited she was, we took her to dinner and for ice cream tonight to celebrate! Looks like we have begun (yet another!) tradition!
